Volunteer Referrals to Agencies

Agencies who involve volunteers in their programmes can use the Volunteer Whanganui to assist them in finding volunteers for their services or projects. Any not-for-profit agency may register with us. There is currently no charge for this service. We will then promote and publicise their volunteer vacancies.

We aim to put agencies in touch with volunteers who have the ability to make a contribution to that agency. The wider community may not be aware that your agency involves volunteers or just what volunteers contribute. We undertake initial screening of volunteers but the final decision of whether to involve a volunteer or not, is the responsibility of the agency.
